Like you said I’d expect any 486s still out there to be embedded machines running the same bit of software for 30 years. If it’s got a value and use, even if it’s just reducing the testing surface, I say get rid of it. Though my instinct is to agree with your point, I see it a little bit differently. Practically speaking it’s becoming pretty niche to need modern support for such an ancient processor, and likely a waste of Go to Site resources to continue to maintain.

Once you choose uninstall you will get a confirmation window that pops up. Next choose the Driver Tab and click on uninstall. Then click Uninstall to initiate the uninstallation.

We can delete two registry entries, and restore them if you change your mind. Go to “View” and select the option “Show hidden devices” to reveal all the hidden and old drivers.
